Since its beginning in 2003 at the Ventress Correctional Facility in Clayton, AL, the ministry to those who are incarcerated and their families has seen explosive growth.  The ministry has expanded to the Houston County Jail where Westgate members are regularly involved in teaching Bible Classes and leading 12 Step Recovery groups.

The ministry opportunities to those who are incarcerated include:

• Monday night Men's Class in I Pod at Houston County
• Thursday "Women Mentoring Women" class at Houston County
• Thursday substance abuse recovery group at Houston County
• Weekly worship service for women incarcerated at Houston County
• Monthly worship service for men incarcerated at Ventress CF.
